What We Do
SeniorsNL collaborates with older adults, family members, volunteers of all ages, and organizations across the province to provide information for informed decision-making, offer opportunities to develop and participate in programs, and influence policies that affect older adults. The organization consists of several departments that work collaboratively to promote, enhance, and support the well-being and independence of older adults throughout the province.
Our Departments

1
Information and Referral
SeniorsNL is a trusted information and referral service committed to assisting seniors and those who support them. We provide reliable, up-to-date information on programs, services, and resources through our comprehensive database.
Our trained peer support volunteers, all of whom are seniors themselves, answer every call with compassion and professionalism, helping you navigate available supports and connect with the information you need.
2
Resource Management
To ensure up-to-date and relevant information is accessible to seniors across the province, our resource management team works to verify and regularly update all of the programs and services available in our database. When you call us, we ensure that the information we provide to you is accurate, relevant, and verified on the community level.
3
Community Outreach & Engagement
SeniorsNL delivers presentations to community groups, organizations, and municipalities across Newfoundland and Labrador on a wide range of topics relevant to seniors.
Through strategic partnerships, we ensure our education and training initiatives remain current, impactful, and tailored to the needs of older adults. Our Let’s Talk About virtual sessions are in high demand, providing accessible and informative discussions on key issues affecting seniors.
Other Projects:

Social Prescribing Project
.SeniorsNL in collaboration with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS) has worked to develop, implement, evaluate, and integrate social prescribing into the healthcare system through Family Care Teams. Social prescribing links older adults, through a Link Worker, with non-medical supports in the community to help improve their health and well-being.
