Violence Prevention Northern Peninsula was formerly known as (Northern Committee Against Violence or NCAV).  It is one of ten Regional Coordinating Committees that work to increase awareness of all forms of violence.  The provincial Violence Prevention Initiative Services (through the Office for the Status of Women) supports the RCCs through a grants program and other activities.

VPNP is located in St. Anthony and represents the St. Anthony to River of Ponds area.  This area also includes the towns of Hawkes Bay, Port Saunders, Port au Choix, Roddickton, Flowers Cove and Saint Lunaire-Griquet.
