The Office of the Seniors’ Advocate is an independent office of the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Advocate will seek input from seniors in NL.
The Office of the Seniors’ Advocate is established to work together with seniors’ organizations (such as SeniorsNL), service providers, and others to identify and address systemic issues related to seniors. OSA will then determine where seniors believe gaps exist in legislation, policies, programs and services. Once gaps are identified as systemic we can complete comprehensive reviews and make recommendations as to how to address those gaps to improve seniors’ services. The Office of the Seniors’ Advocate will also promote awareness to the general public.
