Burin Peninsula Voice Against Violence (BPVAV) is one of ten Regional Coordinating Committees that work to increase awareness of all forms of violence. The provincial Violence Prevention Initiative Services (through the Office for the Status of Women) supports the RCCs through a grants program and other activities.

The committee meets regularly to discuss issues relating to violence on the Burin Peninsula. They also encourage community participation in violence prevention.
