Community Volunteer Income Tax Program: Through this CRA program, community organizations across Canada host tax clinics where volunteers complete tax returns for eligible individuals at no charge. Volunteer help is generally available between February and the end of April each year.

Please check below to see if you can use the free clinics:
- Income Under $35,000 Single; $45,000 Couple. For Labrador: Income must be under $65,000
- If someone made above these amounts last year, but retired this year (so income is now under the amounts above), they can still use the program.
- Must have a simple tax situation: for example those with no income or income just from employment, a pension, and/or benefits (such as CPP, disability, CCB, EI, social assistance), RRSP, support payments, scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or grants, or interest (under $1,000). Will not do those with income from rental properties and self- employment and will not do death returns.
